Samantha Rey (Trainer & Founder):
Samantha is a passionate dog trainer with extensive experience and a lifelong connection to dogs and rescue. She has been involved in animal rescue since childhood, growing up in a home filled with dogs of all breeds and temperaments—from pit bulls to terriers—with countless foster dogs passing through along the way. In 2023, after the loss of her soul dog, Samantha felt called to deepen her work in rescue. She began working closely with rescue organizations across Los Angeles, serving as a Foster Coordinator and fostering more than 15 dogs alongside her wife. Through this hands-on experience, she developed a strong understanding of behavioral challenges, trauma-informed care, and the importance of meeting dogs where they are. After burning out in corporate America in 2025, Samantha made the intentional decision to pursue the work she was always meant to do—helping dogs and the people who love them. She will also be graduating from the CATCH Canine Trainers Academy as a certified dog trainer and continues to expand her education through ongoing workshops, seminars, and advanced coursework. Samantha’s approach is compassionate, practical, and rooted in real-world experience. Her goal is to support families, strengthen the human-dog bond, and help keep dogs in loving homes—especially those who need it most.
